Pre-2002 Gold Vienna Philharmonics carry schilling denominations; 2002-and-later standard issues carry euros. A 2,000-schilling one-ounce coin and a €100 one-ounce coin each state one fine troy ounce of Au 999.9 gold. Use year and denomination to identify the era, then value fine gold separately.

The 1/25-ounce €4 coin is absent because it was introduced in 2014, long after the schilling series ended. Special giant issues are also outside this standard-size comparison.

The fixed exchange rate does not explain the new face values
Austria's irrevocable conversion rate was €1 = 13.7603 schillings. Converting 2,000 schillings mechanically gives about €145.35, not the later €100 denomination. That is not a loss of gold and not a pricing signal; the issuer assigned new legal-tender denominations to the euro series.
The OeNB describes bullion coins as trading by precious-metal value rather than face value. For either era, calculate fine ounces × a same-time gold price, then add evidence for premium, condition, scarcity and an executable buyer bid.
