Gold Gift Transfer Records Checklist

THE SHORT ANSWER

Audit the transfer file without inventing value, basis or tax

Review fifteen ownership, inventory, identity, donor-basis, holding-period, transfer-date, value, consideration, Form 709, custody and charitable-substantiation fields. A conflict overrides apparent completeness. The worksheet runs locally, exports CSV and never determines fair market value, gifted basis, gift tax or a charitable deduction.

PRIVACY BOUNDARY

Use the worksheet as an index to protected originals

Enter document names, item IDs and unresolved questions, not full taxpayer identifiers, account numbers, safe combinations or access instructions. A downloaded CSV is only a working review record. Store signed transfer documents, invoices, appraisals, returns and custody evidence in the protected system chosen by the parties.

FAQ

Gold transfer checklist questions

Does the checklist calculate gift tax or gifted-gold basis?

No. It records whether donor basis, gift-date value and Form 709 review evidence exist. It never calculates tax, value, basis or a deduction.

Can I use it for a charitable contribution?

Yes. Select charitable contribution and document organization eligibility, acknowledgment, Form 8283 and appraisal fields when applicable.

Is my information uploaded?

No. The worksheet runs in the browser and does not retain entries. Avoid entering taxpayer identifiers, storage secrets or account credentials.

What does a conflict result mean?

Stop the affected transfer or deduction claim and preserve both records until ownership, identity, date, value or tax evidence is reconciled by an authorized person.
