SEC EDGAR / QUARTERLY FILINGS / GLD + IAU / ACCESSION-LEVEL EVIDENCE

SEC Gold Trust Quarterly Filing Evidence

Compare two reviewed quarters of issuer-reported gold-trust facts without turning quarterly filing changes into a daily ETF-flow claim.

THE DIRECT ANSWER

Both reviewed trusts ended June 2026 with fewer gold ounces and fewer quarter-end shares

From March to June 2026, GLD ending gold ounces changed by -3.9%, quarter-end shares by -3.9% and reported gold fair value by -16.1%. IAU ending gold ounces changed by -2.6%, quarter-end shares by -2.5% and fair value by -14.9%. These are differences between quarterly stock facts—not daily fund flows, not investor cash flows and not a global ETF total.

HOW TO READ THE EVIDENCE

Four clocks and four meanings must remain separate

REPORT DATEQuarter-end state

Fair value and shares describe the trust at the reporting date.

FILING DATEPublic availability

The SEC submission arrived after quarter end; it is not a live signal.

TRANSACTION MAPPINGCreated and redeemed ounces

GLD ounces are directly reported; IAU ounces are derived from issuer-reported shares and ounces per share.

VERSION IDENTITYAccession + hash

Corrections are compared by accession and document hash before any baseline replacement.

AMENDMENT POLICY

A later amended accession wins only after its facts are separately mapped

The maintenance proof has accessed amended GLD and IAU filings and records their accession identity and SHA-256. Older amended formats do not expose the same inline-XBRL facts, so they are retained as version evidence but excluded from this normalized four-row baseline. A new amendment never silently overwrites a reviewed record.
