FIVE OFFICIAL FORMATS
The size name describes fine gold, not just total mass
The 2026 Australian Gold Kangaroo bullion family runs from one-tenth ounce to one kilo. Every listed coin is 99.99% pure gold, but the cash unit, dimensions and mintage policy change materially. Compare the Mint's fine-gold amount and directional physical fields rather than assuming every quoted number is an exact target.

READ THE LABELS
Minimum and maximum are not interchangeable with nominal targets
Perth Mint labels weight as a minimum and diameter and thickness as maximum values on the product pages. Preserve those qualifiers when screening a coin. GoldObserve does not invent a symmetric plus-or-minus tolerance from one-sided public specifications.
The kilo row also teaches a rounding lesson: 32.151 troy ounces is a displayed fine-gold figure, while 1,000.100 grams is the displayed minimum total weight. Converting one rounded display into another can produce a small difference without revealing anything about a particular coin.
BUYER DECISION
The smallest premium is not the only useful objective
Easier staged buying or partial resale.
Simple fine-ounce pricing.
One large exit decision.
Ask, bid and fixed costs per ounce.
Use written quotes for the exact size and quantity. A fractional coin can be useful even at a higher percentage premium when it prevents selling an entire one-ounce or kilo unit to meet a smaller cash need. The answer reverses when lowest verified acquisition cost per fine ounce is the dominant goal and the larger exit unit is acceptable.

FAQ
Gold Kangaroo size questions
What sizes does the 2026 Australian Gold Kangaroo come in?
The official bullion range covered here is one kilo, one ounce, one-half ounce, one-quarter ounce and one-tenth ounce.
Which 2026 Gold Kangaroo sizes are unlimited?
Perth Mint lists the one-kilo and one-ounce bullion coins as unlimited. The three fractional sizes have stated maximum mintages.
Why does the kilo coin say 32.151 ounces rather than a longer conversion?
It is the Mint's published fine-gold field rounded to three decimals. The separate minimum gram weight is also a published field; do not infer an unstated precision or tolerance.
Are fractional Gold Kangaroos cheaper per ounce?
Not necessarily. They require less cash per coin but can carry higher percentage premiums. Compare complete dealer asks and buyback bids per fine ounce.
