The Centenario offers the largest fine-gold unit and may have strong recognition in a particular market. Smaller Hidalgo-family coins reduce the cash needed for one unit and permit partial sales, but often need a higher percentage premium to be economical. A modern one-ounce bullion coin may win when its spread, authentication support or resale network is better.
