Use each source for the question it can actually answer
- USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026 supports national annual production and reserve context; it is not an asset-level exploration database.
- USGS MRDS is an occurrence and deposit record source. USGS warns that records may not reflect current operating status, ownership, production or reserves.
- SEC mining disclosure guidance identifies the technical-report areas that can support asset-level review, including geology, exploration, drilling, QA/QC, resources, reserves, mining, processing, environment and economics.
For this reason the lab stores only the user's local review state. It does not claim that a checked box verifies a project, and it does not redistribute a third-party mine database.
